Instructions for Doumbek

This audio instruction CD and booklet was created to teach a simple way to learn to play the Middle-Eastern doumbek. We start by teaching the proper way to hold your drum and the three basic sounds of the doumbek. Photo illustrations show each hand position. The CD also includes seven different Middle Eastern rhythms--each one starts slowly in its simplest form so you have time to practice. Next we teach you how to enhance the rhythm with embellishments.

This CD is full of information taught in a light relaxed way.
