African Himpare Djembes
The djembe (pronounced "jim-bay") is the warrior's drum from West Africa. Full Circle offers two kinds of djembes: the Himpare djembe from the Ivory Coast of Africa, and beautiful Indonesian Bonge djembe.
African Himpare djembes are made in the Ivory Coast of West Africa. These high-quality drums are designed to please the most advanced drummer. Each drum is expertly hand carved out of a solid piece of Iroko wood: the head and base are in perfect balance, the drum is niether too light nor too heavy, and the insides are smooth for good sound resonance. The baring edge is rounded to perfection so your hands do not get sore from striking the drum. High quality goat skins are tied off using two steel rings and the traditional Bali weave. The drums are completely tunable, featuring resiliant non-static cord that keeps the drum in tune.
